Evaluation is a dynamic field.  Michael Quinn Patton has been involved with the development of the profession since its formal beginnings in the 1970’s. He has conducted evaluations and provided training around the world.  In his keynote address (shared with CES2016 via videoconference) he will provide a retrospective evaluation of how the field has developed and a prospective evaluation of the territory ahead.  This will be an opportunity to hear his assessment and synthesis of the current place and trajectory of evaluation, as well as look beyond the edge into the future.  He’ll offer insights as a historian, contemporary practitioner, and futurist, all rolled into one kaleidoscopic portrayal of the state of the art and practice of program evaluation.
