Kelly Vodden, PhD, Associate Professor (Research), Memorial University

Kelly Vodden is an Associate Professor (Research), Environmental Studies, Grenfell Campus and Department of Geography, St. John¹s Campus Memorial University (cross-appointed) and Head of the Social Science Division, Grenfell Campus. Dr. Vodden has been actively involved in community and regional development research, policy and practice in Canadian rural communities since 1995, including projects related to learning and innovation in regional development, community involvement in resource management, creating sustainable local economies, as well as local and multi-level governance for sustainable communities. She was the Principal Investigator of the SSHRC-funded study Canadian regional development: a critical review of theory, practice and potentials (2010-2014) that examined, among other topics, the role of evaluation and learning in Canadian rural regions. She has published and presented widely on her work.
